tony gonzalez-3-831x1024Anthony David Gonzalez (born February 27, 1976) is an former American football tight end who was a part of the National Football League (NFL) for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is believed to be one of the top tight ends in the history of football. He holds the record of the NFL for receiving yards as well as receptions for a tight end. In addition, he is third in total receptions. Gonzalez's initial 12 seasons were associated with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 1997, he made it to the NFL's draft in the first round. The last five seasons, he was a member of the Atlanta Falcons. Since retiring in 2013, Gonzalez has worked as an NFL analyst for NFL on Prime Video and was previously employed by CBS Sports and Fox Sports.Gonzalez completed his career with 14 Pro Bowl selections, the most of a tight-end and second-most in league history as well as receiving six All-Pros on the first team. Known for his durability and a rare fumble, Gonzalez appeared in 270 of 272 regular season games and only lost two fumbles over 1,327 touch. In the year 2019, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
