She was a child actor who gained fame for her performance in the film My Girl (1991) and its sequel My Girl 2. Between 2012 and 2019, she played Amy Brookheimer, a character that brought the actress six nominations for Primetime Emmys in the category of Outstanding Supporting Actress (Comedy Series) among other honors.
